Welcome to Penzance GSMDS

Penzance Greater Swiss Mountain dogs is relatively new to Greater Swiss with our first Swissy, Cider, being only 4 years old, born in 10/2003. Maggie has extensive experience successfully breeding Pointers as great show dogs, companions and working dog.

Penzance Swissy pups will be no less. Our intention is for our puppies to be excellent companions and ambassadors for Swissys everywhere. Cider has won many hearts as a registered pet therapy dog and an active READ dog. We strive to produce sound, correct moving swissys with exceptional breed type. It is also essential that our dogs can perform for their owners, be it for packing, weight pull, obedience or great family pets. We take extreme care and consideration of our puppies' temperaments. Breedings are carefully chosen based on temperament in addition to other qualities. Puppies are extensively socialized in many different environments.

Penzance is also committed to rescue and Maggie is one of the co-founders of the very effective and well run www.PointerRescue.Org organization that is now the American Pointer Club designated rescue. Maggie has fostered and rehomed over 300 rescue dogs. She has also assisted GSMDCA Rescue in foster and placement of needy swissys.
